Scotch-type, three-pass steam boilers have been used reliably in industrial facilities for many years. Thanks to their durable construction, proven worldwide, wide capacity and pressure range, efficient operation and fuel flexibility, they remain an indispensable product in the industrial boiler sector.
The flame and hot gases produced by fuel combustion in the furnace (combustion chamber) travel along the furnace, completing the first pass. They then reverse direction in the chamber known as the combustion chamber and flow through the second-pass smoke tubes. On reaching the front smoke box, the hot gases change direction again and pass through the third-pass smoke tubes to the rear smoke box, from where they leave the boiler.

Supplied with CE certification in accordance with the PED 2014/68/EU Directive. EAC certification can be provided upon request.
After the application of a special heat-resistant anti-corrosion coating to the outer casing, heat transfer losses are minimized by using 80 kg/m3 density rock wool with rabitz wire mesh and a standard thickness of 100mm (optional 150mm). The front cover is insulated with a special high-temperature-resistant castable refractory material applied over a ceramic board. The sides of the rear and front smoke boxes are also insulated with high-quality, durable ceramic board, ensuring reliable and efficient insulation.
Its large water and steam volume and specially designed integral separator ensure stable, dry steam production under sudden and fluctuating loads.
The standard painted sheet metal provides years of use without deformation. It can also be supplied as an optional extra in embossed or smooth aluminium, or stainless steel sheet.
Relatively low flue gas path resistance (back pressure) reduces burner investment costs and keeps electricity consumption from the burner fan low.
Designed and manufactured for use in high-pressure boilers in accordance with the requirements of the product standard, corrugated furnaces protect the combustion chamber against thermal stresses, increase strength and, thanks to the turbulence they create, improve heat transfer compared with plain furnaces.
In accordance with design and manufacturing standards, certified boiler plates of EN10028-2 / P265GH-P295GH-P355GH grade (certified to EN10204 3.1 or 3.2) and EN10216-2 / P235GH grade seamless steel boiler tubes are used for pressure-bearing parts.
Each boiler body produced undergoes hydrostatic testing in accordance with the procedures and requirements set out in the standards as part of quality control.
Wet-back boilers, in which the space between the rear of the furnace—where the flame and hot gases generated by combustion are present—and the rear tube sheet, or the combustion chamber, is surrounded by water and cooled, offer many advantages. These include providing additional heat-transfer surface area; preventing the material from overheating through uniform cooling and thereby extending its service life; and avoiding unnecessary heat losses and refractory maintenance and repair costs associated with refractory-lined dry-back designs.
The large combustion chamber and specially designed flue gas paths enhance combustion performance and heat transfer while ensuring minimal emissions.
Manholes and handholes, provided in the appropriate number and size, make maintenance and cleaning easy. In addition, specially designed hinged front doors and smoke box doors provide effortless, safe and quick access, reducing the time boiler operators need to spend on maintenance and cleaning.
Welding the flame and smoke tubes to the tube sheets ensures a long service life.
Welds made by certified and experienced welders in accordance with approved WPSs and WPQRs pursuant to EN 9606 are subjected to non-destructive testing (UT, RT, MT, PT, VT) at the rates and using the methods required by the relevant standards, ensuring meticulous quality control.
Suitable for use in industrial heating processes across a wide range of industries, including paper, food, cement, textiles, oil, glass, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, mining, energy, tires, rubber, packaging, automotive, wood, construction and steel.
